From Belly to Body
Thati Menendez
I am a woman with a nomadic soul in search of self-knowledge, traveling around the world and studying about the sacred feminine, pregnancy and childbirth in different cultures.
I am a doula, perinatal educator and body therapist. Creator of From the womb to the body, a project that involves workshops and assistance aimed at reconnecting with the sacred feminine, awakening the body for women and pregnant women and preparing for childbirth based on the awakening of instincts.
I believe in female strength and I am honored to witness the awakening of that power in many women.
My life purpose is to awaken the lost connection within us and rescue the sacred rite of birth.
my professional journey
As a teenager I started my studies in dance, language and Arab culture starting a work of rescuing the feminine through belly dancing.
I graduated in physiotherapy in 2007 and then did a postgraduate degree in Women's Health and Gynecology.
I was initiated into Reiki while still attending physical therapy college.
I studied Thai massage for the first time in Brazil, with the master Marjorie Sá, which awakened in me a deep connection with the Thai tradition, leading me later to live in Thailand to deepen my studies. There I studied Traditional Thai Massage in several schools, Hoyal Thai Massage, Rocking Thai Massage, Chi Nei Tsang and Wombilifting (Western name of unnamed techniques, used by traditional healers and midwives).
I graduated in body therapy, naturopathy and phytotherapy at Humaniversidade, which connected me even more with the east, taking me to India and Indonesia. Later I also became a school teacher.
I studied Dance Therapy with the masters Helena Cerruto (Italy), Maria Fux (Argentina) and Judith Esperança (Brazil).
I became a doula in 2011, starting an intense journey in my purpose, leading me to be a doula training teacher, at Revelando doulas.
I studied traditional midwifery with Naoli Vinaver, Sueli Carvalho and Homprang (Thailand), wonderful teachers who taught me much more than the art of midwifery.
I was also honored to learn and work with wonderful urban midwives and doctors like Betina Bittar and Ana Cris Duarte who carry in my heart everything they taught me in the wonderful time we spent together.
Currently, I continue to learn and teach in this wonderful journey of the sacred feminine and awakening of the wild woman.
